A loan of $1,125 helped buy cement and iron.

Maria Nancy's story

Maria is 59 years old, lives in the city of Pucallpa, located in the jungle of our country which is home to beautiful flowers, fauna, and scenery were nature’s greatness can be appreciated. Maria is a mother of two of which are married and have given her wonderful grandchildren she adores as much as her husband. During her free time Maria likes to take her grandchildren out and indulge in one of her favorite meals which is chicken soup. She only studied up to the fourth year of high schooI but would've liked to go on to study at a university.

Maria works enthusiastically every day for a living. She works around 10 hours daily and can attend up to 80 clients in one day. She believes her business is going well because she is friendly to the clients and above all she cooks very well.

Maria is very thankful for the Kiva lenders because through them she will be able to buy materials needed to install a new floor in her restaurant as well as buy iron to fix her roof which is damaged. This will allow her to offer her clients better service and comfort. She will work hard everyday to make her biggest dream a reality: “Have a bigger restaurant.”
