A loan of $600 helped to purchase a new motorbike for his taxi service.

Narong's story

Narong, 45 years old, is the father of five children. He resides with his wife in Battambang Province, Cambodia. Narong has been running a taxi service (motor taxi) for more than two years, earning approximately $8 per day. His wife is a rice farmer who earns about $2 per day. One of her children is a construction worker who earns about $3 per day.

Because his current motorbike is old, Narong is requesting a loan of $600 to purchase a new motorbike to run his taxi service. This purchase would enable him to attract more customers and earn more income to support the family. In the future, Narong would like to expand his business and help his children earn their Bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, he hopes to rebuild his house to make it more comfortable for his family.
