Edith Narcisa
Edith is 52, and lives with her family in Quevedo. She is married to Luis, who sells lottery tickets, and makes his rounds in several areas of the city. She has two children, ages 17 and 20. They go to high school, and a private academy respectively.

Edith has a stand selling candles and floral arrangements, located in the general cemetery of the city. She has been doing this work for 12 years. She started it because she needed to help her husband with the household finances. She also says that she really likes it, and as it is near her home, it makes it easy for her to transport things.

She runs her business alone all day, and while she sells, she does the arrangements. Her biggest problem is the sun and rain, because her stand only has a small sunshade which doesn't provide her much cover.

With the loan, she intends to buy materials for arranging the bouquets, such as styrofoam, natural flowers, candles and purified water. With this she hopes to improve her sales. Her dream is to open her own shop, where she would also sell natural medicines.
