A loan of $1,125 helped to buy "camu camu" (a regional fruit), bags, packing boxes, and a machine for sealing the bags.

Estefita's story

Sra. Estefita is a member of the Communal Bank "Las Lomas de Yarina" (The Hills of Yarina), which is located in the District of Yarinacocha, Ucayali. She is 69 years old and married. Her husband is retired from his job and they have seven grown children who have their own families.

Estefita has worked six years with the loans from Manuela Ramos, which were awarded to her so that she could buy her products. She sells "camu camu" (a regional fruit). With this new loan of 3,000 PEN, she will buy 15 crates of "camu camu", bags, packing boxes, and a machine for sealing the bags. This business belongs to her family and the entire loan will be invested. Today her business is even more profitable whenever she exports her products. Thanks to Manuela Ramos, she can continue to grow more each day.

Estefita wants to continue working with Manuela Ramos for a long time because she feels like a part of the family.
