A loan of $1,125 helped to buy sodas and water.

Jovita's story

Señora Jovita is a member of the communal bank "Las Lomas De Yarina" from the district of Yarinacocha, department of Ucayali. She is 49-years-old, is married, and has seven adult children, each one with a family. She is a renewed member; after a break she wanted to return to Manuela because she needed the capital in order to implement her business of selling carbonated drinks that she takes to sell through the villages downstream. Her husband makes a living through agriculture.

With this new loan of 3,000 soles she will buy 15 packs of small sodas of a variety of flavors and brands, 6 packs of mineral water, 5 packs of Guaraná (a carbonated drink made in Brazil), 2 packs of Sporade (a sports drink), and 3 packs of Maltin Power (also a sports drink). Manuela Ramos supports the entrepreneurial women who have the desire to get ahead in life in order to support their family and be able to live comfortably.

Jovita is very happy to return to the group and hopes to work for a much longer time.
