A loan of $1,500 helped to buy a laptop, desk and school supplies as he plans to start studying again.

Lizardo Nieves's story

Lizardo is a 30-year-old man who is single and lives in his grandparents’ house, located in the city of Cañete in the Imperial district. He is an agricultural technician, a profession he chose because he is very interested in all things related to the environment. Thanks to the help of his parents who have always supported him, he has fields for planting corn and apples.

Lizardo has worked since he was 18, and is enthusiastic and hard-working. For more than ten months he has worked as an agricultural technician. He is also in charge of supervising staff at an organization responsible for agricultural health in the city. He is very happy with his job, as it allows him to put his studies to use.

Lizardo is very thankful to Kiva lenders, as thanks to the help they give he will be able to buy a laptop, a desk and school supplies, as he plans on going back to school. Having these items will help him a lot to carry out his work. In this way he will consolidate his professional career, and hopefully he will be able to realize his biggest dream: to have a business selling agricultural products and providing advice. In this way he will be able to have his own home in the not-so-distant future.
