A loan of $1,000 helped to buy rice, beans, oil, coffee, milk, pasta, detergents, etc.

Tito De Jesús's story

Tito de Jesús is 69 years of age. A few years ago his wife passed away, and his children are grown up and have their own homes. This is why he lives alone in the house he owns. He worked hard to ensure his family got ahead, as he was always the main breadwinner. Now that he is alone he continues to work as he is enterprising, charismatic and dedicated to his job.

Nine years ago he set up a small store in a room in his house, where he sells a wide range of basic necessities. His business is what allows him to earn a living and keep busy, as he is elderly and cannot look for a job outside of his home. He wants to move forward and continue earning a living, and has therefore decided to request this loan from INTEGRAL to invest in his store by buying goods (rice, beans, oil, coffee, milk, pasta, detergents, etc.) for the store. It is important that his store remains in operation, as this gives him emotional stability and allows him to provide for his household.
