A loan of $875 helped a member to purchase pepper, which she will later sell.

La Guadalupana (Flat) Group's story

The name of this group is La Guadalupana, and it comprises three women. They each work in their respective business, and live in the community of San Vicente. Rosa Deldai is married to Leonardo, with whom she has two children who are still her responsibility. The kids are in elementary school and high school, respectively. She requested the loan to invest in the purchase of agricultural products, specifically pepper plants, because this spice is in season. Rosa Deldai has been working in this business for a number of years and says it is going well, because it provides income for her home. She started this activity in order to help her husband with the household income, and so that they could buy what their children needed. Through her work and this loan (and while the pepper season lasts), her desire is to be able to work in order to pay her installments timely and purchase whatever she needs for her home with the proceeds.

The other members who belong to the group are: Betzaida, who will invest in purchasing and selling coffee, and Albina, who will invest in purchasing pepper to sell by the kilo.

In this group: Betzaida, Albina, Rosy Deldai
