A loan of $1,125 helped to purchase corn to sell.

Silvia's story

Silvia is 32 years old and married to César. They have four children, who they care for with love and dedication in their own home located in the town of Carampa.

She works doing many different things. In the morning, she tends her corn, potato, and bean crops that she has on her own land and on others nearby. She sells her harvests in the city, where she has customers who always buy her products since they know she always provides good quality. In the afternoon, she cares for her animals (horses, guinea pigs, sheep, and pigs), which she fattens to sell to butchers. "When I need money, they help me to cover certain necessities", she says. At night, when the sun sets, she starts to engage her creativity, and she makes aprons of many colors and sizes. "I take orders, my customers pay me in advance, and I make the item", she says. And lastly, not too long ago, she started buying and selling corn, potatoes, and other vegetables at the markets in the city.

Silvia is a member of the Carampa group, and this is her fourth loan with MFP. Thanks to this support, she has earned good profits so that she can continue with her work. Because of this, she promises to be on time with her payments. Also, she is thankful to belong to her community bank where all of the members are responsible and supportive people.

Silvia will invest her loan in the purchase of corn in large quantities to stock her business.
