A loan of $750 helped to buy tables and to invest in her other business.

Lesly's story

Lesly is 23 years old and she has a newborn baby daughter. She lives with her mother in a rented house in the town of El Tambo. From a very young age she has worked to keep her mother and her family in good conditions. Her speciality is hairdressing and with this trade she has acquired everything she now possesses. She works in a beauty salon on Sundays where they pay her a percentage for each haircut she carries out. However, her main source of income is a shop selling sweets and ice creams, and a small call shop where she spends the most time. Here she offers a calling service to all the regions of the country, as well as overseas. Her work is going very well as her shop is located in a commercial area where many people pass by. Now she is coming up with more ways to make money and this is why she began to sell food. She now has 6 customers and she hopes to have many more so that she can give her little daughter a good future.

This is her first loan with MFP. She feels relaxed due to the support she receives, and she is grateful for the trust they place in her. She promises to pay her quotas punctually so that she doesn't disappoint her group which is made up of supportive and responsible people. Lesly will invest the money she is requesting in buying tables for her shop, as well as using it as capital for her call shop.
