A loan of $4,625 helped a member to buy more fabrics to resell.

Chapakazi Group's story

Ibrahim, who is in his late 20s, is married with two children; one of them goes to school. He has been running a business selling fabrics for three years now. He works from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be his fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to start building his house, bought more stock of vitenge (fabrics), and paid household expenses. He has paid back all his loans successfully. He wants a loan to buy more fabrics to resell. His dream is to one day be able to finish building his house.

He will share this loan with his loan group "Chapakazi" which has a total of 13 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
