Mariam is 58 years old. She lives in a small village with her family: her husband, Vladimer, and two children aged 20 and 22, both who are students. Vladimer works in a local company. The family runs an agricultural business, they have two milking cows and two calves. Mariam keeps the livestock in good condition and takes good care of them. She is also busy with farming. She has 0.5 hectare of land where she grows 1,500 vine trees and nuts. She sells the harvested product in the local open market. The total average monthly income of the family is 600 Lari.
Mariam requested a loan for purchasing calves. She wants to raise and sell them after a few months with a price mark up. Thus, she wants to expand her business in order to make the desired profit. Mariam will sell grown calves and get the profit. She will use it for improving her family members' living conditions.
