Bunthea is 27 years old. She is the mother of two children and resides with her husband in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been growing rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $2 per day. Her husband is a soldier who earns about $4 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Bunthea is requesting a loan of $800 to purchase farmland for rice cultivation. This money will help her expand her business and help her children earn their bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it more comfortable for her family.
