Norma Celedonia's story

Norma is a 30 year-old woman from Pisco, Humay district. She is a very enthusiastic and hardworking woman. She is a single mother and is completely dedicated to her two small boys with who she likes to play in her free time.

Previously Norma worked in a cotton farm. Thanks to this work she has been able to get together the money to become independent and start her small business selling clothes. She has now been working in this business for 2 years. She carries on the business at her house and on weekends she goes out to the central market to sell her products.

Norma is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to their help she has been able to buy merchandise such as pants, t-shirts, blouses, jumpers etc to supply her business and to improve her sales. In this way, she can increase her income to provide a better future for her small boys and achieve her dream that both become good professionals and good men.
