A loan of $600 helped to buy seeds, fertilizers and compost to sow corn.

Saul David's story

Saul David, 49, is married and has five children. He and his family live in Pueblo Viejo Canton in the province of Los Ríos.

He belongs to the communal bank ANCHOVETA which is in the Puerto Pechiche Parish, in the Anchoveta community in Pueblo Viejo Canton, where most people are farmers.

Saul is a farmer and grows corn. He buys his supplies in the city of Ventanas. The loan he is requesting is to buy seeds, fertilizers and compost to sow corn.

The loan helps him with family and production needs. His dream is to buy more land and increase production. One of the challenges he faces is the very low market price of corn. In his free time he enjoys sports.
