A loan of $375 helped to buy fertilizer and food for her animals.

Máxima's story

Máxima, who is 62 years old, is a simple woman. She lives with Rodrigo, her husband, with whom she has eight children. All of her children are older and independent. She and her husband live in their own home, which is located in Chilcas.

Algriculture has given her the satisfaction of obtaining the income needed to educate her children, who live in the city of Lima. She has five dairy cows which produce on average 35 liters per day. She said that when they are calving, they produce up to 70 liters. She does very well raising her animals. Her secret is that she plants the alfalfa - their main source of nutrition - herself. “I also provide them with a balanced diet, I deworm them, and I take good care of them.” she says.

In turn, she plants corn, peas and barley on her own land as well as on leased land. Later, each harvest is sold in the capital, where her children help her, since it is there that they can make the most money.

This is her sixth loan with MFP. She feels good about the support that she gets and is grateful for the confidence they have in her. She promises to pay back her loan in a punctual manner, as she does not want to disappoint her group, which is made up of people who are loyal and responsible.
Máxima will invest the money requested in the purchase of natural fertilizers to spread among her plantings of alfalfa and the other food for her animals.
