Varduhi's story

Varduhi is engaged in cattle breeding and beekeeping in the Yegvard village for 22 years. The resulting agricultural products, milk, beef and honey, Varduhi and her husband sells in the cities Kapan and Kajaran. The agricultural products they produce is sold out very fast, as Varduhi and her husband always monitor the quality of their products carefully, offering their customers only high quality milk, honey and meat. Varduhi told us that beekeeping and cattle breeding require large financial and physical investments, but she likes working in this business and this way provides for her family. Varduhi is 48 years old. After having finished school she enrolled at a vocational school in the Department of Commerce. Varduhi and her husband have four children: Two sons and two daughters. Three of the children live separate from the parents, and the oldest son lives together with them and helps them at the farm. Varduhi's husband works at the television station in parallel with working at the farm. Varduhi applied for a loan in the amount of 3000 USD for the purchase of six bull-calves for her farm. The bulls allows Varduhi and her family significantly increase the profit from the cattle breeding in the future.
