A loan of $2,125 helped to purchase cattle.

Nurkamal's story

Nurkamal is 51 years old, and has two children. Nurkamal has been working in animal husbandry since 2007, after having started her business with one calf. Thanks to Nurkamal's hard work, her business now has two cows with calves, and the sale of milk and dairy products earns about 2,000 soms a month. Nurkamal also makes and sells "toshoks" — traditional Kyrgyz quilts — which earns her about 3,000 soms a month.

To further develop her business, Nurkamal has asked Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 100,000 soms (KGS) to buy more livestock. Nurkamal plans to invest the proceeds from the loan into further increasing her number of domestic livestock.
