A loan of $1,425 helped to buy supplies and ingredients for her food.

Rocío's story

Rocío, 33-years-old, is a hard-working and determined woman, in addition to being happy and friendly. Her partner is Robinson, the father of her three children: 13-year-old Isaac, 9-year-old Cristian, and 5-year-old Brenda. Her business is selling food. She works Monday through Friday, attending very kindly to her customers and managing to have good reception and demand, since she has a contract with 35 workers at a sawmill near her home. She charges them weekly.

She has been doing this work for more than two years and relies on the occasional help from her partner and children. She likes to cook (she learned the secrets to a good seasoning from her mother) as well as the financial income that allows her to pay the bills and household expenses. What she doesn't like is the physical fatigue from having to get up very early in the morning in order to make the preparations for the day, but this does not discourage her. This is why, in the future, she wants to have a small shop in her home.

This is her sixth loan from the MFP institution, which she hopes will bring her plans to life. She also says that she is comfortable with her communal bank, since she considers the members to be responsible people. With the requested amount, 3800 nuevos soles, she will invest in the purchase of provisions and ingredients for the food that she prepares daily.
