A loan of $525 helped to buy merchandise to stock her grocery store.

Sonia Dominga's story

Sonia, 52, is married and lives with her husband and four children in the municipality of Macuelizo, Santa Bárbara. She started her own grocery store about 10 years ago where she sells food items like sugar, juice, toilet paper, rice, lard, soft-drinks, spices, eggs and others. Little by little she’s stocked it with her own money.

She’s currently asking for a 10,000 lempira loan to buy more products to keep it stocked to offer her customers and to increase sales. From profits she wants to grow coffee because she also has a small farm.
