A loan of $1,400 helped a member to buy drinks to sell.

Santa Maria Group's story

The "Santa María" group is a communal bank under the "Mujeres Emprendedoras" (Enterprising Women) communal bank program of Fundación Paraguaya. It is made up of 11 hard-working women, who are above all, very determined. Nancy is chair of the group, and tells us that her group has been able to succeed and grow through a great deal of sacrifice and effort. She sells drinks and it is going very well. This is because she has a very good clientele, as she always has a very good selection. She is applying for the loan in order to buy drinks, such as beer, soft drinks, wines and others, enabling her to continue offering her customers the variety to which they are accustomed.
