A loan of $1,700 helped to buy a motorcycle with cargo trailer for transporting his livestock and his weekly lemon harvests to the market where he sells them.

Jose Asuncion's story

José is a 45-year-old father who lives together with his wife and child in the small village of San Pablo Hualtaco, in the agricultural district of Tambogrande, in Piura region, more than four hours from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of Lambayeque region.

José's business is raising and selling sheep and farmyard birds such as hens, ducks, turkeys, etc. He raises these animals in an area behind his home and, when they have reached a good level of development, he sells them to traders who visit his area. José has been in this business for six years. He also works as a farmer, growing lemons on a 3-hectare plot of farmland. He sells the lemons with his wife's help.

José would like to buy a motorcycle with cargo trailer for transporting his animals and his weekly lemon harvests to the market where he sells them. For this reason, he has requested a loan for 4,500 soles from Edpyme Alternativa.
