A loan of $375 helped to buy animals, balanced feed, and supplies for making "chicha de jora".

Maria Yolanda's story

María is 37 years old, widowed, and resides in the village of Los Damianes, which is located in the District of Túcume. This area is known for its humble and hardworking people who engage in agriculture. This community is located in Lambayeque Province, which is more than 40 minutes away from the city of Chiclayo.

María raises and sells sheep. The animals are kept in an area behind her house. When they have reached the right level of development, the animals are offered for sale to local traders and to the general public. In addition, María prepares and sells "chicha de jora" (a beverage made from corn). Her businesses enable her to cover her personal expenses and to help sustain her family financially.

María wants to acquire a few animals and balanced feed so that she can increase her sales. She will also buy supplies for making "chicha de jora". For this reason, she is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 1,000 PEN.
