A loan of $900 helped to buy a machine to make rotisserie chicken.

Jose's story

José lives in the city of Villa Elisa. He is 37 years of age, single, and has a son aged one year and two months. From a young age he worked in the wholesale food market, where he sold coffee for breakfast to the people who worked there. He did this for about 20 years.

Later he bought a hotdog stand opposite his house, which is located on an important avenue. At night he sold hotdogs from his house. As he saw his sales grow, he decided to sell food in the mornings as well, such as empanadas (meat-filled pastries), fried breaded meats, sandwiches, hamburgers and sodas and beers.

Today José wants to buy a machine to make rotisserie chicken. He plans to use it at the weekends, and has requested this loan so that his business can continue to grow.
