A loan of $1,400 helped to buy farm supplies, wood and paint.

Mercy Jakeline's story

Mercy Jakeline, 32, is in a common law relationship and has three children. She lives with her spouse and children who are 8 years and 6 years and 4 months old.

Mercy Jakeline grows corn, broad beans and peas; she’s also a carpenter. She’s asking for the loan to buy manure, fertilizer, urea, wood and paint.

With help from the loan she will buy fertilizer for the agriculture and wood and paint for the carpentry.

The challenge she faces is lack of money to invest in farming and in carpentry.

Her dream is to be able to have a house of her own and to give schooling to her children.

In her free time she likes to read, play with her children and enjoy the festivities of the Virgen Santa Rita and of the canton.
