A loan of $1,100 helped to buy clothes and articles for the home.

María Lourdes's story

María Lourdes, 33, lives with her family composed of her husband, 24, and her 8-year-old son. Her husband, like her, is a merchant. Her son is attending school.

She’s been selling second-hand clothes for a long time. Her business is well-located, that is, accessible to many people. Thanks to her good management she’s known how to win over the trust of her customers who prefer her more each day. She sells a variety of articles of clothing like skirts, pants, shorts, dresses, underwear and other items that are attractive to customers. It’s worth mentioning that she keeps affordable prices for all sorts of people who visit her business. Her wish is to provide schooling for her son because she wants to see him become a professional with better opportunities than she and her husband have had.

Because the economic situation is very difficult and income is insufficient to cover her family’s basic needs, she’s decided to invest in her business buying new merchandise because she foresees that in this way she will attract new customers leading to increased sales levels and thus increased income levels too. Because of this she’s asking INTEGRAL for this loan to push her investment because she wants to buy a variety of clothing items like skirts, dresses, blouses, pants, t-shirts and shorts. She hopes that her economic situation will improve this way since this business is one of the main sources of income she relies on. She trusts that after selling the merchandise she will be able to repay the loan and be able to continue bringing daily bread to her home.
