Beka's story

Beka is thirty-four years old. He lives in a small village, in the district of Telavi with his family; his parents, brother and sister-in-law. The family runs an agricultural business, in particular dealing with livestock. Beka has his own car and along with the agriculture he is busy with transportation. He provides a goods transportation services to the local population and gets service fees. The total average monthly income of the family is 1,200 Lari. Beka requested a loan to purchase calves. He wants to raise them and sell then locally after several months. Grown calves will be sold with a price mark-up. The family will get additional income. With the increased income he will be able to expand his agricultural business; he plans to purchase calves and to make a good and big cattle-shed. Due to the above mentioned, the living conditions of the family will be improved.
