Shiilegtumur's story

Shiilegtumur is 49 years old and lives with her three daughters in a ger (Mongolian yurt) in Selenge province, Mongolia. Her husband passed away recently, her eldest daughter is unemployed and her younger two are college students. She started her goods-trading business in 1998. She buys Mongolian goods and sells them to Russia. Mostly these are clothes and household goods. Over the years, she has gained many trusted suppliers and buyers. She is a sharp and hardworking woman who says "Since my husband passed away, it has been hard to support my children especially the ones in college. But I have to work harder. I won't let my children down". She's requesting 3,000,000 MNT to purchase more goods in order to increase her trading capacity.
