Nita's story

Nita, 33, is a woman who likes to work; she’s also kind and polite in her treatment of people. Her partner is Segundo who works in construction and is the father of their three children: Arleison, 18, Brayan, 7 and Jhan, 3. The house they live in is theirs. She sells beauty products via catalogue. She started more than ten years ago with her own capital selling small amounts and gradually grew. To date she’s been doing this by herself although her spouse sometimes helps her look for new customers. She considers the business to be quite profitable because of the profits it produces since she’s visited by her loyal customers. She started the business because she wanted to have an occupation and something to do to generate her own income and not be totally dependent on her spouse. She also wanted to be a prosperous businesswoman. Therefore, seeing the good results, she wants to continue with her business and increase her stock of merchandise. This is her MFP loan #17. She feels grateful to know that she’ll have financial support to make her plans realty. Also, she comments that she feels good in her communal bank because she considers it a united, mutually supportive group. She will use the requested 3500 new soles to buy more beauty products.
