A loan of $700 helped to buy supplies and utensils for her business.

Roxana's story

Roxana is 33 years old and single. She is a determined and enterprising woman, and is mother to two sons: Alexander who is 9 years old and Edi who is 4. She has to work a lot to give her sons a better quality of life, as she is both their father and mother. They live in their own house and are a very close family.

Roxana works selling food in the evenings from her home from Monday to Saturday, and on Sundays and public holidays she sells ceviche and grilled meat. She has been working in this business for 5 years and since she began her income has increased a lot and for this reason she continues this work. She likes it because she has time to help her sons with their homework and to be with them when they need her, as well as being able to undertake other activities in her home. Like any enterprising woman, she has many plans for the future and although she has already made great progress, she wants to keep growing. Now she wants to refurbish the area in her house where she serves her customers, and to invest in new businesses.

This is her fourth loan with the institution MFP so she hopes to continue with her objectives. She is very determined to keep up with her repayments, as she has done until now with her previous loans. She is very grateful to belong to this group, as its members are very punctual and responsible.

With the 1800 soles she is requesting, she will buy ingredients and supplies for her dishes, as well as equipping her kitchen with better quality and longer-lasting utensils.
