A loan of $575 helped to buy animals to sell their meat.

Lilia's story

Lilia, 23, is a kind, very enterprising woman. She and her spouse have two children who are 5 and 2 years old. They are what motivate her towards work, effort and sacrifice since she wants to always give them the best and to improve their quality of life. This family lives in Lilia’s parents’ house.

She goes out to local cattle ranches on weekends looking for the best animals at the best price and then she sells the meat at wholesale. She started out selling smaller animals but in time she grew and now she deals exclusively in cattle. She’s been working like this for three years and she does it alongside her spouse who always supports her in everything. She likes what she does very much because she has time available and there are always cattle with which to work. Besides, she runs the business while her spouse does the hard work which allows her to be rested. They earn on average 30% over their investment and since she started with this business she’s had no economic problems. However, as an enterprising woman she wants to make her business grow and also to invest in another, different one although she hasn’t yet decided which.

This is her MFP loan #6. She’s very happy to know that she’ll have a loan to reach her objectives. On her part, she commits to be punctual with her installment payments because she does not want to disappoint the group she belongs to since they are all very responsible.

She will use the 1500 soles requested to buy two animals to continue doing her work.
