Grace's story

Grace lives in New Kru. She is 35 years old and married. She has three children between the ages of six and 14, and they are in school and live at home. She stopped her education in the 9th grade, but she has other skills like business management. For the past seven years, she has been running a shop where she sells lappets (traditional clothing).

She started this business with a little income from her husband and learned this way of selling from her parents. She says she enjoys her business, because it has given her pride, and she really enjoys the interaction between her and her customers. A problem she is facing is meeting the needs of her customers. She is requesting a loan to purchase more lappets (traditional clothing) to expand her business. Her plan is to expand her business and become an international investor.
