Power Group's story

Flora, who is in her late 30s, is married and has three children who go to school. She has been selling Irish potatoes at a wholesale price for four years. She works from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more Irish potatoes, curtains, floor tiles and bricks. She has paid back all of her loans successfully. She wants a loan to open a grocery. Her dream is to one day be able to finish building her house.

She will share her loan with her group, Power, which has a total of 16 members, who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
