Lourdes's story

Lourdes, age 51, is a single mother, and she has three children. She lives with them in the Puerto Cortes municipality. Lourdes has had a business of selling new clothes, shoes, and beauty accessories for six years. She sells in an itinerant manner in the neighboring communities. She says that this business has been very profitable. It has generated profits that she has been able to reinvest in her business. Also, with the loans that ODEF has given her, she has managed to stock her business and keep it stable. Lourdes is a very hard-working woman. She has had seven loans with ODEF. She is currently requesting her eighth loan for 12,000 lempiras. She will use the loan to buy more merchandise for her business. She will buy things like clothes, shoes, and other merchandise that she does not have. She is motivated to continue benefiting from the loans that ODEF has given her. This is because her business has prospered a lot since she started it, and her quality of life is better than before.
