Eunice's story

Eunice is a 38-year-old married woman with four children aged between nine and twenty years. She describes herself as an ambitious woman.

For the past fifteen years and with the assistance of one employee Eunice has run a mill where she grinds maize, millet and sorghum. Her mill is located along a busy road junction, and her primary customers are local residents. Additionally, she provides local transport, which increases her income. Her biggest business challenge is frequent power blackouts.

Eunice is requesting a 20,000 KES loan from SMEP to buy more maize. Her goal is to run another mill within five years. She hopes that in the future she will be financially stable.
