Yeum is 39 years old. She is a mother of four children and resides with her husband in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing agricultural crops for more than twenty years, earning approximately $2 per day. Her husband runs the business of buying cattle to resell for a profitable price. He earns about $5 per day. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $6 per day.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Yeum is requesting a loan of $1000 for her husband to purchase more cattle to sell. By doing so, he should earn more profit to support the family. In the future, Yeum would like to expand the business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house to provide better living conditions for her family.
