A loan of $700 helped to buy seeds, fertilizer, and pest control.

Teodoro's story

Teodoro lives alone in his own home. He lives in humble conditions. He does not have the basic services, except for water. He has been working as a farmer for many years. Each year he repeats the same work, planting and later harvesting a crop which he sells. Besides agriculture he also learned masonry work, sometimes getting work that gives him an extra income in order to survive. He is an entrepreneur who also works breeding pigs. He has good relations in the area where he lives, as he is a responsible man, hard working, and respectful. He has earned the trust of many people who need basic grains at harvesting time. It is worth mentioning that in the past he was affected by the rains, which meant problems as he didn’t have another source of income without the harvest and could not get the necessary funds to cover his necessities and responsibilities. He is asking for a loan from the institution hoping to have a favorable response. The loan will be used for the purchase of necessary agricultural supplies (seeds, fertilizer, pest control, etc.). He trusts in God that he will have an abundant crop that will permit him to pay his loan and provide a livelihood.
