Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Eulogia's story

Eulogia is 47 years old and married to Candido, age 38. They have one eight-year-old son who is in the fourth grade at school.

Candido works at a construction company as a tractor operator. Eulogia has a small kiosk in her house and for the past two years she has also made meals for people that work in a nearby business. Eulogia wants to be able to enlarge her kiosk and have a functioning fast food counter, so that she can continue helping her husband.

She is requesting this loan to buy rice, flour, sugar, yerba [a type of tea], and other goods to sell in her kiosk. She and her family appreciate the assistance that they're receiving.
