A loan of $800 helped to buy beauty products.

Beldis Yolanda's story

Beldis, 43, lives in a common law relationship and has two children; she lives in the municipality of San Juan Pueblo, Tela. Beldis likes beauty very much so she determined to study beauty in an academy to reach her dream of having her own business. Three years ago she opened it and she offers services like haircuts, hair straightening, hair drying, manicure, hair coloring and highlighting; she also sells products like shampoo, hair treatments, creams, etc. She spends 8 hours per day at work. What motivated her was the wish to feel useful contributing to the family unit. The 15,000 lempira loan she’s asking ODEF for is to buy beauty products, treatments like keratin, creams, etc. to use in the salon and also to sell to customers who may need one of these products. Her goal is to have a larger locale of her own eventually and to have more employees to respond to customer demand and to have her own house.
