A loan of $1,125 helped to buy computers for her play station business.

Julia Elena's story

Julia is a very hard-working woman and mother of a little one, 5 years old, she is raising by herself, since the father abandoned her some years ago, leaving her alone. Julia is both father and mother to her son. She works very hard to provide him with necessities, above all providing much love.

Julia is involved in many activities, principally working in her parents' small general store in the city market. Little by little, with great effort she has been saving, and had the idea of creating a play station business, which she has now achieved. Julia spends around 10 hours a day attending to up to 15 customers a day. Julia believes the business is going well, because she is very friendly and attentive and, above all, God always guides her steps, in spite of adversities.

Julia is very grateful to Kiva lenders, since thanks to the help they provide, she will be able to offer better service to her customers and, also, improve her income. That will permit her to continue the struggle to make her grandest dream a reality: to offer her son professional training so that he can have a happy life.
