A loan of $2,225 helped a member to buy sodas, wines, beer, energy drinks, and other beverages.

La Esperanza Group's story

The contact person who started this existing committee is Sra. Karen. She invited and organized her friends to join the Committee of Women Entrepreneurs Program. This group emerged with the name "La Esperanza" (The Hope) and consists of 13 women from the city of Luque.

Sra. Karen sells beverages. She is married to Sr. Sebastian and they have one child who is still very young. Karen says that she is doing very well in her business because she is always well-stocked. As a result, she has many customers. She sells her products on the weekends and on fair days. Karen says that she hopes to acquire enough inventory for her business to open a store. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy beverages such as sodas, wines, beer, energy drinks, and other products so that she can restock and offer her customers the variety to which they are accustomed to having.
