A loan of $2,225 helped a member to buy clothing to sell.

Villa Itaipu Group's story

This committee is called “Villa Itaipu.” It is made up of 13 women from Ciudad del Este. They are very hard-working women, with a great desire to get ahead and work hard every day.

Bella is a member of this very united group. She comments that she worked starting at a very young age, and thus she is quite used to struggling and working for her goals. She dedicates herself to buying and selling clothing of all types, which she has done for some time now. It is thanks to this business that she has been able to get ahead and help her family.

She is requesting the loan to buy winter clothing, which will allow her to stock up and to offer more variety to her customers, which will in turn allow her to attract more of them.
