Yeng's Group's story

Yeng, 25, is a married mother of an only son who is still in school and she lives in the rural village of the Dambae district, Cambodia. She is a rural peasant who grows rice and plants cassava and beans to make a living. She has been in this business for almost ten years.

This is Yeng's group, consisting of four female members. She has been with VisionFund for one loan cycle while the rest are just with VisionFund this loan cycle. The loan has helped her improve her living and keep her son in school. Currently, she can earn up to 21,100 KHR each day to make a living. Now she is leading her group to apply for a loan with VisionFund. As the leader, she wants to use her portion to buy fertilizer and spend for land preparation for her farmland. She hopes to make a better living and be able to keep her son in school until graduation.
