A loan of $775 helped to buy more chicks.

Ángel's story

Ángel, 59, is a kind, good man. He and his wife have five children four of which are already independent adults. Only the youngest 20-year-old as well as his grandson still live with them; he gives them the best every day in the house he was able to obtain with much effort.

His work is construction and his specialty is chicken coops, corrals and farms. He also raises barnyard fowl, an activity he carries out alongside his wife, while the construction is done alongside some laborers he hires. After paying laborers and for supplies, he earns on average a profit of 35% on his investment. He’s been working in this business for 15 years and hopes to continue to do so for more time. He likes working in this activity very much because he earns well and it leaves him time for other things; it gives him the stability needed to have a tranquil life. His goal is to enlarge his chicken coops and to raise animals in larger numbers.

This is MFP loan #8 so he hopes to reach his objectives. He also commits once more to make his installment payments in a punctual, responsible way like in previous loans he’s had. He’s very happy to belong to his communal bank because all the members are good and mutually supportive.

He will use the requested 2000 soles to buy more baby chicks, to improve his coops and to buy nutritionally balanced feed. At the same time, he will acquire materials and tools to continue doing his construction work.
