A loan of $400 helped to buy clothes.

Juana's story

Juana, 61, is a dedicated, hardworking woman besides being kind and cordial. She’s married to Pablo who works in construction and is the father of her children. She lives with her husband, her son Pablo, 28, and a grandson; she loves them very much.

Her activity is selling used clothes. To do so she makes monthly trips to the capital to do her purchases looking for better prices to then sell among her friends and neighbors. She’s been in business more than two years and to date does it alone; occasionally her children are the ones that travel to bring the bundles of clothes. She considers her business to be quite profitable; she makes the best profits in areas away from the city. She managed to educate her children thanks to this business and she feels proud for having moved them forward.

This is her MFP loan #14 so she expects to make her plans a reality. She feels comfortable in her communal bank because she considers that it’s a united, mutually supportive group.

She will use the requested 1000 new soles to buy more large bundles of used clothes.
