2 De Mayo Group's story

The ‘2 de Mayo’ Group is composed of eleven women from the town of Santaní. They are heads of families who struggle each day to provide their families with better living conditions.

Liz is a member of the group. She says that with a lot of effort and hard work she can help her family and provide them with the basics for a simple life. Liz earns her living selling sheets, blankets, comforters etc. in the streets. She says that although the work is very hard and takes a lot out of her, she likes it because it’s a decent and honorable job.

She is seeking a loan to buy stock such as sheets and comforters so she will have a good variety to offer her customers.
