A loan of $2,375 helped a member to purchase chickens.

Empresarios Exitosos Group's story

Alicia is a young married woman with two children. Her husband works as a taxi driver serving the public. She has a business selling chicken in a market in her area. She has worked in this business for ten years, with the goals of helping her husband and providing a better life for her two children, who are still small. It was her mother who taught her to work hard to be independent. In her work she has achieved many things, such as being able to buy some appliances for her home. Currently she is saving toward her greatest dream of owning her own house. Alicia is the president of the recently formed group "Empresarios Exitosos" (successful entrepreneurs). Her loan will go toward the purchase of chickens, so that she will have sufficient inventory of this product which is in high demand with her customers. Alicia is the third from the left in the photo, wearing the read T-shirt.
