A loan of $950 helped to repair her three-wheeler van.

Yelena's story

Yelena is 39 years of age and is a happy, friendly and responsible woman. With her partner she has a six-year-old son. They live in their own house and try to give the best to their son – good quality of life and education.

Yelena sells drinks, and also owns a three-wheeler van which she rents out for a daily fee. She also has a small farm which is managed by her partner. She has been carrying out this business for two years, and she enjoys being able to work with her son beside her so she can look after him. Her house is located in a strategic part of her area, and she therefore has customers all the time every day, generating good sales.

This is Yelena’s fifth loan with MFP, and she is very happy to know that she has financial support to help her continue increasing her working capital. She is sure that she will continue to be responsible with the loans she obtains. She likes being part of her communal bank as they are all very responsible and have a strong sense of solidarity.

Yelena plans to use the requested amount of 2,500 soles to buy replacement parts for her van, pay the mechanic who will repair it, and buy more drinks to sell.
