Mti-Pesa Group's story

Nickson, who is in his late 30s, is marrried with three children, two of whom go to school. He has been selling domestic tools, such as cups, glasses, and plates, for nine years now. He works from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Nickson's 3rd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the prevous loans to restock items and for household expenses and has paid back all his loans successfully. He wants a loan to buy more domestic tools for resale. His dream is to be able to open a shop for his business one day.

Nickson will share this loan with his loan group, Mti-Pesa, which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
