A loan of $1,700 helped to buy compost, fertilizers, and to pay for labor.

Milton's story

Milton, age 49, is a friendly and hardworking gentleman. He is separated from his partner, but they live in the same house with their two children. They both own the house since they had worked together to purchase it.

Milton produces citrus fruits and vegetables. He has a field where he works. Milton has been growing citrus fruits for 10 years and vegetables for about 25 years. He does a very good job of working the land, which is why his products are large and of good quality. Many buyers at the wholesale market in his city look for his products. He greatly enjoys his work because he loves being in the fields and in contact with nature. Milton has good customers who know that he has a high-quality product and are willing to pay what he asks. He also has a project that he would like to complete. Milton would like to mechanize his citrus groves by installing an automatic irrigation system and a tube well for better results.

This is his 10th loan with MFP and Milton hopes to use it to continue with his goals. Once again, he is very committed to submitting his payments on time and in a responsible manner. He is very comfortable with his Communal Bank because his fellow group members are very responsible and always supportive of one another. The loan amount of 4,500 PEN that he requested will be used to prepare his land for the winter by purchasing compost, fertilizers, and to pay for labor.
